Just a few quick notes, I had my 29 week ultrasound on Monday and each baby weighs 2 pounds 13 ounces, they are getting so big! And they are both head down at this point which is good news. Oh Oh and they have hair! The ultrasound pic is pretty bad but this shows Audrey's little bit of hair. Wesley has the same fuzz.
I'm so in love with them already!!!
Still feeling good, much better than I thought I would be at this point physically. Mentally I'm starting to feel overwhelmed at times with all that still needs to be done. Hopefully we can make the trip next weekend to get the bunk beds and get the room transition underway for Evan and Erin. I know that will not be easy so I want to be able to take some time with Erin and not rush her. We'll see. That's about it for now, grow babies grow!

28 Weeks - Third Trimester with Twins
Yahoo! 28 weeks is a big one for me. I'm feeling pretty good and my foot/ankle are so much better! That has made a big difference in my mood lately. I'm able to get around better and hopefully it will continue to get better.
Some big news, we have decided on names!
The boy is Wesley Rian and the girl is Audrey Ann. Of course, we can always change our minds but so far they are sticking and we really like them.
At my doctors appointment this week all looked well and I'm measuring 33 weeks! Now I will go every two weeks. I can tell most of the time who is kicking me now, it's pretty wild. Wesley is very active and is on the move all the time. Audrey seems a little less active but she gets her punches in as well.
Monday is my next ultrasound at MFM and I'm looking forward to seeing them again and hearing how big they are.
My co-workers threw me a surprise baby shower at work and here are a couple of pictures from it. I was so surprised and happy - look at all the diapers! Love it!

And Now There's This
Well the stupid foot wasn't getting any better. Well, it was getting better in my heal but my ankle started to really kill me. So the podiatrist seemed to think that although my plantar faciitus was getting better now I have a stress fracture in my ankle. Perfect! She still didn't want to do an x-ray because of the babies but she suspects this is the cause for my pain. So she wanted to immobilize it for a couple of weeks. Fantastic. I will say it's been two days and it seems a little better, so here's hoping this will fix my foot woes before I get anymore pregnanter!
I'm 25 weeks 6 days and starting to feel the strain. Here's a quite unflattering belly shot Evan took of me. I don't have any pics of me this pregnancy so far so I suppose one here won't kill me.
And on a more positive note, I passed my glucose test! Yay! I was convinced I would fail just due to the fact it was twins and it's more likely with multiples. I'm super happy about that, I can't imagine worrying about a diet and taking my blood sugar added onto everything else I'm dealing with right now.
That's about it for now, other than it's freaking freezing outside. We have about 5 inches of snow and the forecast is calling for wind chills at or below -20. Insanity.

25 Weeks
Yesterday I had my 25 week ultrasound. Babies looked great and the doctor gave me an A+ for the ultrasound. Always great to hear! Baby A (boy) is about 1 pound 11 ounces and Baby B (girl) is about 1 pound 9 ounces. Baby A is head down and Baby B is breech but she still has several weeks to flip around.
Cervix is still holding strong at 4.3cm, doctor said short was 2.5cm and average was 3-3.5cm. Hoping hoping and wishing for no bed rest! But of course I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to keep these babies cookin' for another 11-13 weeks!
Still no names..and I'm feeling the pressure since that's usually the first thing anyone asks me. We're working on it though...just like the other 4 million things I want to do before they get here. Just don't ask about potty training Erin!
Still no results back from the Glucose test last week. I'm not anxious to hear the results so maybe I'll give them a while longer before I call to check on them.
That's about if for now. Here are some pics from yesterdays ultrasound.

Always a little creepy if you ask me ;)

Basketball Cuteness
I was pretty excited to see Evan play basketball this year. He loves it! It doesn't hurt that his Daddy is one of the coaches though. The games are pretty hysterical and cute, lots of running and they don't keep score or anything.
He looks so little!!!
So much cuteness!
2013 In Pictures
I forgot to post this last week, our annual year in pictures. I love making these, always reminds me how blessed we are and how much the kids have changed in a year!

22 Weeks and an Evil Left Foot
To say this pregnancy is flying by would be a huge understatement. I can't believe I'm already 22 weeks. Babies are roughly a pound each and doing great. At the last ultrasound about 2 weeks ago they were both breach but they can still spin around at this point.
Here are their little heads. They are just chatting with each other.
Baby A (boy).
Baby B (girl)
We are still working on names with a few that we both actually like, progress!
As far as pregnancy goes I'm feeling pretty good. Sleeping hasn't been too bad since I learned I could sleep sitting up if I have roughly 85 pillows supporting me. Heartburn is tolerable and my ankles swelling isn't too bad yet.
Which leads me to my left foot. My evil left foot. I started feeling some twinges of pain a few weeks ago. It would come and go and would usually just happen when I first stood up and I would feel an intense pain with my first few steps. It remained tolerable for a while but a couple of days before Christmas it got bad and was beginning to be pretty constant. Christmas Day I was in a lot of pain and needed to sit down and take my weight off of it completely numerous times. The day after Christmas I went to urgent care after work, I had a feeling it was only going to get worse and I needed to find out what to do to get better. The doctor didn't seem to think it was a strain or stress fracture so he did some blood work to find out if it was arthritis or something like gout. So then began my 3 days of excruciating pain and waiting. The labs were due in on Monday and I just had to wait for a diagnosis or treatment plan. Friday was the worst. I can't even describe the pain. It was as if a truck was slowly running over my foot. I kept it elevated and tried to do as little as possible hoping it would help but nothing did. The more I read about gout the more it sounded like my symptoms so I started eating things used to treat gout (cherries, pineapple) and trying to find anything online I could to help me. By Monday morning I was ready for answers so I called the urgent care first thing in the morning and they said the lab work came back normal, no high levels of uric acid or any signs of arthritis. I was glad it wasn't gout or anything like that but I wasn't any closer to treating the pain. So I asked around at work and someone recommended a podiatrist I could go see. And luckily they got me in with a couple of hours! The doctor was great and after listening to my symptoms and looking at my foot and finding where the pain was located she diagnosed me with plantars faciitus. She said some daily exercises (foot stretches) and I need to wear a brace for a couple of weeks it should be healed up in a couple of weeks. I was so thrilled to have a treatment plan and direction on what I should do to make it better. I went back to work and started the foot stretches and it felt better within hours! Yay! So this was yesterday and today I'm able to walk without a limp. I still have some pain but NOTHING like last weekend. Thank goodness!
So that's about all for now. My next OB appointment is in two weeks and hopefully we'll get another look at our babies as they continue to grow.
