Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. Evan loved loved his cozy coupe. I got video of him running into the living room on Christmas morning, I think it's just too funny he runs right past his present.

He did pretty good with unwrapping. His "whoa" to every gift cracked me up.

After all the unwrapping we sat around and relaxed for a few hours.
Everyone played with their new toys, including daddy.
Later that afternoon we went to my moms and Evan had a big wagon of toys waiting for him. He loved everything.
We had such a great day and he behaved so good even with the crazy schedule and barely a nap.
And considering he was a sick little guy. He had a runny nose and a slight cough for a few days before but Christmas day we noticed a little gunk building up in his eyes. I took him to the doctor first thing on Monday and it turned out he had a double ear infection, a sinus infection and an eye infection! Poor little guy.
We've had him on antibiotics and eye drops for a few days and we are seeing a big improvement thank goodness. His poor little eyes tell it all in this pic.
But he was good, all long as he had his paci, juice, his bear and his car ; )

18 Months

We took Evan for his 18 month checkup yesterday. All is well and normal with our little guy.  He weighs 25 pounds 7 ounces and is 32" tall. Both 45th percentile.
He's growing like a weed, and amazes us everyday and the new things he is learning. He's a little mirror right now and does everything we do.
I was nervous about putting up the tree this year and decided to buy all new shatterproof ornaments. I knew he would be all over the tree and he loves to just launch things with no warning. We are working on that.
Mostly, he just takes off an ornament and then tries to put it back on. It's actually pretty cute.
As for the presents he leaves them alone for the most part, sometimes he'll pick one or two up and move them but no ripping of the wrapping paper yet. Hopefully he will be willing to rip them open on Christmas.

And lastly, tonight he decided to climb out of his crib for the first time ever. He was fine, just scared. Not half as scared as I was though. I'll be keeping an eye on his at bedtime now to make sure it doesn't happen again, hopefully it scared him enough this time.
