eBay Central

So I've started selling stuff on eBay. I can really see this as becoming an addiction of mine. I sold a skirt yesterday for $13.00 and I felt like Queen of the eBay World. It may be beginners luck but who cares - I've decided to sell everything I've never worn or worn just once. Which has turned out to be a lot more than I expected. Hopefully it will turn into a little Hawaii money or maybe, just maybe I'll make enough to buy more stuff I will never wear... oh dare to dream.

Goodbye Old Friend

So for those of you who know me (or possibly passed me on the street) know of my undying love for my Tivo. Well Tivo has been a little under the weather lately and it looks like he will be making the trip to Tivo Heaven.

It's a little silly when I think about how attached I am to Tivo but dang it I love him. Some of you will say "come on now, it's just a digital recording device" but to me he was so much more.
It seems like just yesterday he came into my life and made everyday brighter and happier. Within of week of knowing me he already knew I would enjoy What Not to Wear and Vacation Home Search. He was so smart and knew me so well. He never missed an episode of Lost or Big Brother – not even The Girls Next Door which I’m sure he didn’t approve of.

We did have the occasional falling-out, don’t get me wrong. The time he cutoff the ending of the Grey’s Anatomy episode just as McSteamy emerged from the shower loosely draped with a towel – what happened next??? I cursed Tivo, cursed and cursed some more. But eventually I forgave him. And now as his time with me draws to a close I feel bad for having been so irrational.

R.I.P. Tivo - you will be missed... well, until I can get a new one.

Let's get it over with.

I've received a few remarks that my blog will be all about Lilly. You guys are probably right because well, let's face it - she's fabulous, she's super photogenic and she is always there for me whenever I need her. So just getting this obligatory Lilly post outta the way.

So proud.

Last Wednesday was Todd's brother Dale's deployment ceremony at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Over 3400 soldiers from the 76th Infantry Brigade of the National Guard are being deployed to Iraq. It's hard to put into words how emotional that day was. It's difficult enough to watch other families say goodbye to their soldiers but to actually experience it was something I'll never forget.
Dale is being sent to Georgia to train for a couple of months then he will be in Iraq for about 10 months. He is scheduled to return January 2009.
I'm sure I'm not alone is saying it takes a special kind of person to be a soldier, we are so very proud of him. Please keep Dale in your prayers.

Jumping on the Bandwagon!

I've decided to start a blog. It will probably be one if the not the dullest blog online but here it is.
I don't have a lot to say, but maybe someday I will. For now, this is all I got. Exciting, I know.
