Evan is 12 Weeks

My attempt to take Evan's 3 month pictures was very challenging. I only got these two before he had a meltdown. He is generally happy when I take his picture but for some reason yesterday he just wasn't having it. Hopefully I can try again one day this week.

New Blog

I have decided to start a separate blog for photography. I think it is probably wise to not inundate my possible clients with 7 bazillion pictures of Evan. Even though he is adorable, it might get old after 6 bazillion.

Anyway, check it out - it's under construction so nothing exciting posted yet but soon it will be filled with my exciting adventures into photography! Add it to your lists!

Clothes, Clothes and More Clothes

For what I'm sure will be a biannual tradition I went to a children's consignment sale last night. It was a serious workout - my arms are actually sore today from going through the rows and rows of clothes.

I got some seriously cute stuff and ended up only spending a little over $100. Not too shabby considering I think I got Evan enough clothes to last until next spring!

This is my absolute favorite. Love it!
And this little beaver sweater is just too precious.
I also got a couple things for his room. Can't beat $5 for this picture (Kelly Rightsell, retails for $80) and $5 for this Pottery Barn Kids Hanger.

So cute!

Go Highlanders!

Evan was so psyched at the first game of the season.

On the edge of his seat the entire time.

This is the new football stadium they built this year. If Todd gets his way Evan will be playing here in about 16 years :-) We'll see!

Evan is 11 Weeks

Little squish is getting so good at holding his big head up. I'm so proud :-)
Nothing much new going on.
He has been sleeping through the night the past 5 nights, with the exception of last night he got up at 4am. I think it was because while out shopping yesterday he took a massive 3-1/2 hour nap. That boy will not stay awake when we are out.

I only have 4 more days off work. It will be a sad day when I have to leave him at daycare.

For now I'm just enjoying these last few days. Tonight we are taking Evan to his first football game (local high school) so I'm sure I will have tons of pictures from that to share.

Evan Slept Through the Night! (Kind of...maybe)

I guess if you consider sleeping from 10pm - 5am sleeping through the night, then yay! He did it! 5am is NOT our desired wake time but hey, I'll take what I can get at this point. I'm hoping this wasn't a fluke but time will tell I guess.
He's 10-1/2 weeks now and I have to go back to work in a week and a half. I'm dreading it, of course. But if he decides to start letting me sleep for longer stretches then my life will be so much easier.
The hardest part will be leaving him 5 days a week. I don't know how I will manage. But, you have to do what you have to do. Which reminds me I need to get some lottery tickets stat!

Kaelyn & Maggie Are Six Months

These little sweetie twin sisters were born on Valentines Day. I had fun taking their six month pictures today.

It was pretty difficult to get a good shot of them together. I'll have to work on that - seems like every picture of them together only one of them would be smiling or one would have her eyes closed.
They were great though, such cuties.

You can see all the pictures here.

Rite of Passage

Evan and Daddy getting ready to watch the first Bills game of the season (just pre-season but still). It being Evan's first Bills game ever was extra special, I'd always pictured Todd and his son watching football together. So sweet.
But for any concerned parents out there who thought I let my 10 week old watch a 60" tv for three hours rest easy. He actually was faced away for the tv in his bouncy seat for 5 minutes then proceeded to have a meltdown and was subsequently put to bed. But I'm sure it was just cause T.O. only caught two passes.

Quentin

I had the pleasure of taking some photos of my little cousin Quentin. How adorable is he!?

He was a great little model and I had a lot of fun.

Two Month Checkup

What up!
I'm a little late posting this but I wanted to have the results of the ultrasound first. Wednesday we went to Kosair so they could ultrasound Evan's hips. Our pediatrician was concerned with a clicking noise they made. So we made the trek and Evan was a trooper. He didn't mind at all, although he kept farting on the ultrasound tech. She was a good sport about it though.

We got the results yesterday and all is normal thank goodness. And we also went for Evan's two month checkup and the clicking has disappeared. Yay!

All of his stats look good, he weighs 11 pounds 14 ounces (50th percentile) and he's 23 inches long (50th percentile). So our boy is right down the middle. He's having some reflux troubles at night but we are working with the pediatrician to remedy that. Other than that he's happy and healthy.

This was the aftermath.

A Few Photos

I think instead of taking Evan to get "professional" pictures taken this month I'm going to give it a shot. These are from my first attempt. I really really really need to work on my in home studio if I'm going to do this professionally - the lighting aspect is extremely difficult without the proper gear.

(I don't really care for this photo but it showed his cute outfit so I threw it on here)

And this pic shows his new favorite sitting spot. We got these couches this week and he seems to like sitting in the corners.
And I realized I never post pics of him crying and boy does he. So here you go in case you thought he was always happy and never cries.
