Audrey and Wesley are 7!!

My sweet twins are 7!!  Seriously, I always say it but wow, time flies!

I mean, how sweet are these kids!?

We celebrated their birthday by surprising them with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge like we did a few years ago. I love picking them up half day at school and surprising them! We waited until we were pulling into the hotel to tell them (or I should say until they guessed!) They were so surprised!

We had a great time. This was the first year Todd and I could sit around and not follow the kids everywhere they went. We had hours of uninterrupted people watching which was great! The kids would stop by every once in a while to eat, drink or rest.

I think they had a pretty great birthday. I definitely prefer trips to lots of crappy presents they'll play with for five minutes then get over them. I think we'll try and do more trips now that they are older.

SPRINGTIME!

Just a quick recap of the past month.
Springtime is here! Which means Easter, soccer, and we move outdoors to spend out evenings.
We got new deck furniture which I am super excited about. The last time we bought anything nice for the deck was over 10 years ago so we were due!

We also bought this! Which is ridiculous but we love it. When the kids aren't fighting over it you will find them fighting over the new deck box which is the second coolest new thing for them to sit on outside.

I mean seriously.

Easter was fun. Had an Easter egg hunt then dad and Eric came over for a cookout.

Dad has been fully vaccinated and me and Eric have had our first shots. Super excited about that. Todd is supposed to get his tomorrow.
The process was pretty easy and only a sore arm the next day. My next shot will be Wednesday then I'll be fully vaccinated!

A few weeks ago Audrey told me it was her dream for me to take a day off work and spend it with her. Obviously I requested off immediately. A couple days before she said Erin could go too so we made it a girls day.
So fun!! We went to the zoo and the candy shop!

And my brave girl got her ears pierced! She did so good!

Max turned two - and to celebrate we got him neutered finally. Sorry Max.
Soccer started last weekend and it rained the WHOLE day. The boys did ok though even thought they both lost. It was a tough day but they hung in there.

Let's see what else. Tried Hello Fresh this week, I really like it! Not sure it'll be worth it when I have to pay full price though...we'll see.

And finally speaking of eating delicious food, I just can't seem to curb that on the weekends, so even though I've been working out and eating right for over 3 months I've only lost 16 pounds. Hey, still a loss so I'm excited though but if I want to meet my goal I'm going to need to get serious. Like soon. I type this while having a chilled margarita...

105 days in (15 weeks)

I'll close with this adorable picture of Wes, who loves to read to ME before bed now. Yes it's Dogman but I absolutely love it. He's so sweet and I cannot believe he will be 7 Monday. 7!! I'll blog about their birthday hopefully soon.

Audrey's Room Makeover and More Snow Days!

I finished up Audrey's room makeover a couple weekends ago. I love it! She picked out the color and most of the wall decor, she did a great job! As much as I hate painting the payoff is always worth it to freshen up a room.

Super cute!
This week and last weekend we had more snow. It was NOT as much as predicted, the weather people all kept saying 7-10 inches. Lies! But we ended up with a good 3-1/2" and last night added another inch. I guess it'll work, the kids had a blast sledding.

Max enjoys the snow. And eating sticks.

This last week my healthy eating and working out had to be scaled back - with Todd and the kids home, it's so much harder to get my workouts in and to eat healthy. I will get back on track tomorrow when, I hope, the kids get back to school.
Speaking of eating not quite so healthy. I tried the pasta I keep seeing online and oh my goodness it was amazing. And so easy! Tomatoes, feta, olive oil, garlic and basil. I added mushrooms to because everything is better with mushrooms.

I think that's about it for now. As much as I like the snow I'm ready for warmer temperatures now and ready for Spring!
