Evan is 5 Months

And the many faces of a five month old. I'm gonna go with the "I'm blissfully happy" face on the first one.

Then we have the "Why oh why am I laying in a pile of leaves?" face.

The "I have accepted this ridiculousness and will enjoy myself" face.

The "What is THAT?!" face.

The "I love you mommy" face. Obviously.

The "I'm impersonating Elvis" face.

I believe this one is the "I know I'm adorable" face.

Then we have the "I'm shy and flirty" face that we see quite a bit. (My favorite).

And last but not least the "man, enough with the pictures mom" face.

I Love Fall

I love everything about the Fall. So I knew I wanted some really nice family portraits done this fall by the oh so talented Kory Johnson.

He did an awesome job and I love them all.

I wish we could've gotten more but an untimely bee sting to Todd's neck abruptly ended our session. Stupid bee! (Unfortunately no picture of that.)
Evan did really well, although was easily distracted by every jogger and doggie in the park.

But that's Evan right now, so curious and always looking for something more interesting than what he is doing.

When Evan Met Maia

After our fall pictures on Saturday (which I will be posting later) we went over to our friends Ken & Adriane's house. They have the sweetest puppy named Maia. Unlike Lilly, who will just lick and lick and lick Evan's face when she gets close, Maia just came in a for a sweet nuzzle.
I'm so happy Kory was there to get these pictures because this was the first time Evan has really giggled! It was pretty much the cutest thing ever. He adored Maia and every time she came close he would let out the most adorable giggle.

Such a happy boy.

Happy Anniversary

Eight years ago today I married my sweetie.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Kroger for forming this blessed union.

Four Month Stats

We took Evan for his four month check up and vaccinations today. It has not gotten easier to watch him get shots.

But everything looks good and he is right on track growth wise. He weighs 15 pounds 2 ounces (50th percentile) and he is 25-3/4" long (50th percentile). Still right down the middle.

I haven't been able to get him rolling over on video but this one is pretty close.

Four Months

Little Evan is four months old. I know I sound like a broken record but dang y'all it's gone by so fast!

I mean, he's changed so much just in the past couple of days! He's found his voice for sure. He's always been pretty quiet but as soon as we introduced the exersaucer to his daily routine he's been belting out the jibber jabber and boy he gets loud.

He pounds endlessly on all the parts and just loves it. Since he's been a stander pretty much since birth it has satisfied his constant need to stand, a much needed rest for my arms!

He has rolled over a handful of times from his belly to his back and vice versa.

Sometimes he'll get halfway there and just stay in this position till I move him. He doesn't seem to mind the angle.
