Last Wednesday was Todd's brother Dale's deployment ceremony at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Over 3400 soldiers from the 76th Infantry Brigade of the National Guard are being deployed to Iraq. It's hard to put into words how emotional that day was. It's difficult enough to watch other families say goodbye to their soldiers but to actually experience it was something I'll never forget. Dale is being sent to Georgia to train for a couple of months then he will be in Iraq for about 10 months. He is scheduled to return January 2009.
I'm sure I'm not alone is saying it takes a special kind of person to be a soldier, we are so very proud of him. Please keep Dale in your prayers.
