Navilleton Academy

Two blog posts within the same six months!? I know, right! Like I said, these are crazy times!

This week we started E-Learning with all 4 kids. and the Governor of Indiana announced that this will be the way we finish out the rest of the school year. Approximately 8 weeks.
So we are adjusting. I'm working from home, each kid has 1-2 hours of E-Learning per day and we'll find out next week exactly how many days they have to complete to finish out the year.
I set up our kitchen as office/school central.

I am ok! I am totally ok!
For real though - this has been pretty great. I get to spend all day with the kids and still get my work done. The only problem is figuring out what to feed these kids 462 times a day. Thankfully the school is providing some breakfast and lunches for all the kids in the district. The lines get longer each time we go, either people are feeling the crunch from being laid off or maybe like me, finding it hard to find groceries in this time of food hoarding and also these kids eat a lot. We go every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, it's been so helpful. And I am very grateful. Hoping to pay it forward when all this is over.

We have a pretty good schedule so far and I'm trying to stick to it. I work until 5 so all this business fits in my work day.

After five we all wind down, Monday we took a little hike to get out of this house. Still observing social distancing so we avoid all other people on the trails but it wasn't very busy anyway.

Today 3 of the kids teachers arranged online meetings which were great. As you can imagine the kindergartners just all talked at once but it was super cute. I'm hoping they keep doing this for the rest of the year to keep these kids going with their school work.
So we're going to do just fine.
And if you're wondering where Todd is in all this...well he's out of town for work. He's working hard for us from afar and I'm nervous for his safety. But what can you do?
We'll get through it - for now I'm trying to look at all the good. This has forced us to slow waaaaay down and I get to enjoy each day with my precious babies.
Oh and you know who else is enjoying this? This guy.
Max turned one on Tuesday and he's loving having us home all day every day.
Hopefully, I'll be blogging a lot more now...now that I have time.
