Erin's Dance Recital 2016

I don't think I could ever get sick of this. What I love most about her dance company is they have a once a year recital and it really is a special event. The boys and girls work so hard and the end result is amazing.
The day before the recital is a big day in itself. The dress rehearsal is when we do pictures and can film and take pictures of the girls on stage (no pics or videoing allowed at the recital).
We met up with her bestie Sophie to take pics before rehearsal started.

We barely missed the rain but I love how the pics turned out. My beautiful girl.
She did great at rehearsal! Her school does ballet and tap and their first two years they do ballet. Tap is great but there's just something about seeing this teeny ballerina that makes my heart melt!

Recital day was a rainy one but we made it work. Thank goodness we did pictures the day before!
Grace and beauty.

Minus the mini-meltdown as I was trying to fix her hair she had such a great attitude all day. I just love how excited she gets about dressing up and dancing. Ah to be 4 again!
The performance was great and she did amazing! I'm already looking forward to next year.

Evan Spring Soccer 2016

Evan chose soccer over baseball this year and that was fine by me. He really likes soccer and he seems to do well at it.

His little cheerleaders are always cheering him on.

But sometimes Bubble Guppies saves the day.
Most games Todd had to work so it was just me and the 4. We made it to every game this year until the last game Todd was home and we had had a late night the night before so I decided to skip the 9am game time so I could stay home and let the other littles sleep.
As hard as they played his team failed to score a goal all season until the LAST game! And Evan scored the goal! I am so mad at myself for missing it. But I guess stuff like this is bound to happen when we have so much going on with each kid. I would've loved to see his face though :(
The season is over but we are looking at soccer camps for the summer and looking forward to fall leagues. So proud of this guy!

Erin's Preschool Graduation

This sweet girl is on to Kindergarten!!
Erin loves school and I know she will miss her teachers at preschool. She's had an awesome year and I can't say enough good things about her school. They are amazing!
The little ceremony was pretty short but nothing is short enough when dealing with twin 2 year olds.
They sang a couple songs that were extremely adorable.

She was so cute and excited!
After she walked off stage we had to bail. The twins were done with sitting still so we had to skip out of the little reception and get some dinner in these babies bellies.
It's quite the stress mountain to go to dinner out right now but surprisingly everyone was very well behaved and we had a nice time.

 This face.

So proud of our girl. Now onto elementary school!

Bye Bye Cribs!

As MUCH as it pained me to do we had to say adios to the twins cribs. I seriously thought we had at least another 6 months! Neither Evan or Erin tried to climb out of their cribs but of course the twins at 2 years 1 month decided they would climb on out of those suckers.

So without proper ceremony (unless you count a jump fest by all 4) we took down the cribs and replaced with toddler beds.
The twins loved them!
Night 1 went so amazingly good I was SHOCKED. They laid right down, covered up and went right to sleep!!

I knew it wouldn't always be this easy but I was glad at least the first night went smoothly and no one was scared or unable to sleep. To my surprise nights 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 were more of the same! Hallelujah!
But of course, soon enough they realized "hey, I can get out of bed whenever I want and trash the room and play and giggle and wrestle all night long!"
So right now we're in the midst of re-sleep training them if you will. So far I've sat in the room with them until they fell asleep, shut the door, baby gated the door and just let them trash the room and eventually pass out on the floor. We've removed anything dangerous from the room so really all I'm left to clean up is some clothes and diapers if they get into it. Shutting the door seems to be most affective for them so I've been using that tactic the last few nights. We'll see.
I still can't believe I have two toddlers. I still call them babies. And probably always will.
